Motivated Principal Backed by Seasoned CEOs

Evan Rosenburgh, Founder & Principal

I have always been an entrepreneur at heart - it’s in my blood.

Dinner conversations with my family growing up were often centered around life as a small business owner and the sacrifices it took to do right by employees, customers and partners. That meant the good, the bad, and the ugly. This was complimented by summer days and weekend trips to the office - which meant helping with the little things that keep the lights on.

The idea to form Rettig Partners was inspired by my desire to roll up my sleeves and have a lasting impact by building enduring businesses.

Experience

I spent the early part of my career in small, high-growth technology businesses, the most successful of which was acquired by a Fortune 100 company. My focus was on sales, which evolved over time from building relationships with the world’s largest real estate players into leadership roles that enabled me to hire, mentor and grow great talent. I realized early on in my career that strong employees are the lifeblood of the world’s best businesses.

Most recently, I was the first employee at a multifamily lending startup that was focused on originating loans to owners of small multifamily buildings. This entrepreneurial experience helped me realize my true passion is in the creativity, humility and empathy in being a business owner.

Education

Personal life

In my spare time, I like to run, ski, surf and do anything I can to stay active - I just ran my first marathon. When I’m not working out, I am an avid reader of biographies and non-fiction, as well as a cursed New York Jets fan.

I currently live in New Jersey with my wife Hannah, our daughter, Paige, and our dog, Calzone. I’m proudly focused on opportunities in the greater tri-state area to ultimately stay close to what matters most in my life - family.
